Hello everyone, my name is Luna and my owner surrendered me and my brother to a kill shelter in UT. I don't think she could take care of us anymore. We both had been kept as outside dogs and had lots of weed seeds embedded in our skin and really needed a bath. My brother, Bear, got adopted by one of Moonsong's previous adopter's who was looking for a Malamute. Moonsong was able to get me out of the shelter and to a vet where I got some x-rays, tests, a bath and some good food! I've been in boarding at this vets all this time and would really love to find a foster or adoptive home soon!
I have a pretty mellow temperament and everyone here thinks I'm a sweet girl. Especially the volunteer who comes to see me and sometimes brings her little boy. One of the staff here gave this description of me: Luna loves her belly scratched, chasing her tail, and will give soo many kisses! She plays with a tennis ball how a cat would. She is the sweetest goofball I have ever met.
I would prefer a home with less rambunctious dogs and I will need careful introductions to new dogs in any home. I would be just as happy to be the only princess of the family, too. I have been keeping my kennel clean, so probably won't need much housetraining in a real home. I walk well on leash as I do have a neurological issue with my back, so that keeps me moving at a slower pace. I am on some supplements and pain meds to help my condition. Won't you consider me? It would mean everything to me.
