Moonsong Foster Malamutes >> Waldo
Size: Large | Age: Young | Gender: Male | Breed: Alaskan Malamute
Howdy there, my name is Waldo and I was picked up as a stray. No one came to claim me at the shelter, so Moonsong said they would take me under their wing and I'm happy they did. They are feeding me really good food and supplements and I even got a couple baths! People will come to walk me occasionally, which I really enjoy. I wasn't taught much in my former home, but like most Mals, I'm smart and a quick learner. I'm going to some training sessions and really like working with the clicker, toys and treats! I can pull a little at the beginning of a walk but usually settle down after the excitement at first and can walk nicely next to you.
They don't think I've had much love or handling in the past, so I'm learning about how good it feels to get neck rubs and scritches under my chin. I'm even getting used to belly rubs! I can be a little reactive to other dogs I see on leash and will need slow, careful introductions to other dogs. I have met one playful, friendly female Malamute that I really enjoy playing with (check out my videos!) I think I would prefer to live with a female dog a lot like her! I'm excited to find a new home who will love and care for me forever!
