Hello to all my adoring fans, my name has been officially changed to ANNIE. You know… like, Little Orphan Annie? I was at a shelter in California, and even though the shelter called my prior owners (since I have a microchip), they didn’t come to get me. Everyone that saw me was really glad they didn’t; I was severely neglected and probably wouldn’t have made it much longer. The humans that had me before didn’t really deserve to have me, and now that I know what life can be like with good humans, I can say I fully agree! The crew with Moonsong said “Enough of this!” and they snagged me up. They had the help from a wonderful lady in Cali, she took me home after I was able to safely leave the veterinary clinic that got me back on my feet. She was so nice to me and I will always have a special place in my heart for her!
I had two really nasty infected tumors on my head, one in each ear. The kind doctor was able to remove both, and I’ve been treated for all my infection. And for the first time in my life, I got a bath! And another bath, and another! (I was kinda’ stinky.) It took a couple of months to get me strong enough to travel, a foster home was waiting for me clear out in Wyoming (I had no clue where that was). I was moved part way and got to stay with a really nice lady in Utah for a couple of weeks, just to let me rest up for the remainder of my journey.
Well, now I am out here in Wyoming at the South Fork Senior Center. I have a really fun friend to hang out with. His name is Rodeo. We pal around everywhere in the yard together. He and I are about the same speed (getting up there in years), we don’t want to get into too much of a hurry, and we really like our naps. And most of all, we love our foster humans. They treat us like a King and Queen. I tell them every day how much I appreciate what they have done for me….. I shower them with kisses to make sure they understand! Please consider sponsoring Annie, she does have special needs. She is on thyroid medicine and will always be susceptible to ear infections due to the horrific mess in her ears before we got her. She is a gem, and worth every moment and every penny.
