Yo!! Mishka here! I am a stunning 5 year old girl who is looking for a new family of my own! After falling on hard times I came into rescue with my son who has since been adopted and have quickly learned how great life can be! I am what they call a hidden gem and I promise to melt your heart if you give me the love and attention I deserve!!
After completing a three week training course I have shown everyone what great leash and basic obedience skills I have. I am an energetic girl who loves to get out on hikes and walks with my foster family and would probably make a great running partner, ski-joring or sled team member. Like other Mally’s I do have a high prey drive and will require a secure yard as I have an amazing ability to get through the smallest of holes or dig under fencing. I also love a good game of fetch, as long as I don’t always have to return the ball, hanging out in the cold winter air, and can sing the most amazing songs!!
My name means “bear cub” in Russian and I love cuddling, belly rubs and staying near my human pack! Although it took me a few to trust my new humans, my foster mom says I quickly came out of my shell and am very kind and respectful to everyone who crosses my path. Not only have I learned that humans both large and small can be pretty great, I have found that with slow introductions playing with other dogs who are similar in size can be super fun! I would probably do best in a home with older children and/or a mellow male dog who is about the same size.
