Hey there, it’s Anna or Nana as my foster mom calls me. Answering to either name works for me because attention or an adventure with my foster mom is about to happen! My foster home has two furry brothers and we’ve become fast friends. I love to bounce and push with my nose to invite play and I play a mean game of “let’s run as fast as we can together!”
I’ve met other furry friends, medium size and smaller. Of course, being a Mal, my first instinct is to chase smaller dogs. I’ve take corrections well and am very respectful of my smaller friends and ignore grumpy pups.
Being in my foster home was my first experience living in a house. I’ve conquered my fear of stairs and am thriving in the house and backyard where there is less distraction and new things. New things still make me a little nervous. I’m working on my fear of cars, walking on roads with cars and getting into a car.
My foster mom says I’m coming out of my shell and seek out pets and cuddles now! I LOVE scratches and prefer to station myself near my human or doggy friends. Just to brag a little, I recently graduated to being free in an area of the house while my foster mom is gone. And at bedtime I waltz into my crate without prompting and get comfy to sleep. My foster mom even keeps the door open for me!
I walk well on leash and only pull on occasion. I’d love a home with another doggy friend and maybe an older respectful child.
