Hi there! I’m Peanut, a friendly, laid-back Husky with a heart of gold. My foster mom always jokes that I’m a “lazy” Husky because of my chill demeanor – but don’t let that fool you, I’m always ready for fun when the time comes! I’m good with everyone I meet, whether it’s people, kids, or friendly dogs. I’ve also spent time around cats, and with proper introductions, I could live peacefully with one too!

I love getting outside for walks and hikes, but I’m also perfectly happy just hanging out wherever my family is. I’ve been known to turn heads when I go to the farmers market or a restaurant patio, thanks to my good looks and relaxed behavior. I’ve learned some basic commands like “come,” “sit,” “stay,” “shake,” and “place,” and I’m always eager to show off how well-mannered I am!

I’m polite when meeting new people, whether at home or outside. No jumping or excitement here – I just wag my tail and offer a gentle sniff. I’m also great at being left alone when you’re away, never causing a fuss, but I do enjoy keeping myself entertained with a puzzle toy or a Kong filled with tasty treats.

Unlike many Huskies, I’m easy on the leash. When we walk around town or the neighborhood, I stay calm and enjoy the sights at your pace. The only time I get a bit more excited is on hiking trails – I just love exploring and feeling the wild energy around me. That’s why I’ve been working on off-leash training, and I’d do best on safe trails where I can run and sniff freely without disturbing anyone.

Cuddles and morning walks are the highlights of my day, and I always let you know when it’s time to go. Afterward, I’m happy to relax by your side. My crate is my safe space, and I love having a cozy blanket on top to make it feel like my own private sanctuary.

Each day, I enjoy snuggling with my humans, going for walks, lounging in the sun in the backyard, napping in my comfy crate, and of course, earning treats for being a good boy!
I’m an intelligent pup, quick to learn, and always eager to please. I’ve completed an extensive training program and have three more sessions available for my new family to help me settle in. I’m sweet, loving, and ready to offer lots of affection in return for the same! I’d do great in an apartment with an active person, and I’m especially suited for families with calm, respectful kids aged 8 and up.

If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion, I might just be the perfect match!
