Hey there, I’m Kodiak! I’m one lucky boy, rescued by Moonsong, and I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m a playful, young male with a heart full of love and energy. I get along with all dogs—yes, you read that right! I’ve never met a stranger and quickly make friends, though a little guidance never hurts.
My foster mom says I’m a sweet and gentle boy who loves pets and cuddles—attention is definitely my favorite thing! I might try to push my furry pals aside to make sure I get all the love, but it’s only because I can’t get enough of it. Like most Huskies, I’m vocal, and I’m not shy about using my voice to let you know what I want—lots of awoo’s and grumbles when it’s not my turn for pets!
I would love a home with a dog buddy of similar size to play with, but I’d also be totally happy as the only dog in the house if that’s the vibe. I’m crate-trained, and my crate is my little sanctuary where I can nap and relax during the day. I’m potty trained, don’t jump on people, and I’ve had great interactions with kids 8 and up—who I absolutely adore! I also enjoy being brushed and can even help fill the water bowls (I’m a great assistant!).
I’m very food-driven and love praise, which makes me super eager to learn. My foster mom says I’m smart, and I love showing off my skills. While I can be a bit bossy with other dogs, I’m never aggressive. I just like to let everyone know who’s in charge (but in a very non-threatening way). Foster mom is working with me on my patience, so I’m learning to wait my turn for attention.
