Hi! I’m Copper! I got that name because of the copper coloring that was on the back of my neck and ears when I was born. Speaking of which, my birthday is coming soon. I was born October 17, 2019.
I am a long legged, skinny boy who is full of energy, but knows how to settle down when I need to. I am good on a leash and love to go on long walks. When I am out and about, I do get nervous around strangers and other dogs, as I have been attacked by several other dogs.
Although I am nervous when I meet new people, I warm up quickly when they let me sniff them while they talk to me. I love having friends come over. Most of my friends are two-legged and range from 5 years old to 80 years old. I even have a little four-legged friend (my cat) that will sometimes lay and chill with me.
I live outside most of the time, but love to come in each day to spend time with my people. I am housebroken. I also love to be inside during storms and fireworks. They frighten me and I panic. If no one is home to let me in, I end up trying to find a way to escape. I am a good climber and can climb a 6′ chain link fence with ease. My family figured out how to keep me in when they had a chain link fence. They cared about my safety! Now they have a type of fence I can’t climb. Just so you know, secure containment is a must to keep me safe.
I know a few commands well, sit, lay, kennel, shake and outside. I am smart and I know I can learn more with the right help. Reach out to my Moonsong contact and see if we can meet each other! I am a great dog!
