Hello!

My name is Togo and I am about as sweet as a dog can get! Did you know that I was named after one of the lead sled dogs that brought life-saving serum to Nome, Alaska in 1925? While I tend to be more of a follower than a leader, I’d love to run straight into your life forever. My sister, Willow, and I were found wandering on a property in Washington with a group of other dogs and were given the nickname “The Magnificent Seven.” Some kind people came and saved us from such a dire situation, and now I’m living my best life with an amazing foster family while I await my furever home!

My foster family states that I do wonderful with other dogs; I’m a bit on the mellow / submissive side. I have not been cat-tested yet but am known for being gentle and having a soft mouth – I daily exhibit my gentle and trusting disposition. And guess what! While you’d think I’d pull like crazy on leash (like my impressive ancestors in Alaska), I’m a dream to walk and will go your pace! I’m a one-of a kind sled dog, though I’m not sure I’d make the Iditarod (wink wink). Oh, and I love to snuggle! I’d much rather be lying on your lap on the couch than outside in the cold, and there’s speculation that I may do well with little humans too!

I’m a bit on the small side for a malamute mix, weighing around 55 lbs. soaking wet. I am fixed, UTD on vaccinations, and am estimated to be 3-5 years of age. I also have adorable floppy ears that I love to hear my fur-siblings howl through. Honestly, there’s really nothing wrong with me except that I need a permanent home which will continue to show me a dog’s life and continue building my confidence. If you are looking for a sweet, male, medium-sized malamute mix then I’m your pup!
