Good Day!
My name is Milo and my name originates from German and Slavic roots, meaning ‘playful and gentle in nature.’ Though most people that know me just say that I am an extra-large fuzzball filled with fun! I am bouncy, exuberant, and don’t have a mean bone in my entire body! I came to Moonsong this past summer from a crowded shelter in Utah, somehow finding myself in the care of Moonsong in the middle of Wyoming!
I love to go on walks – I don’t care if they are one-mile or five-mile walks; I love them all! The kind volunteers who take me out several times a month say I am an absolute gem on a leash. I know that when the leash comes out, it is time for me to do a job and enjoy a leisurely stroll with you. I have a lot of initial energy but calm down quickly – though I do get the zoomies when you first come to see me. What dog wouldn’t get excited when being visited by friends? Honestly, I’ve never met a human that I didn’t like. I’m super treat-motivated and would love another doggy friend to play with. From what I’ve heard, I’d be best placed in a home with another large female dog. I’m also working on my manners riding in a car and love to stick my head out the window and feel the breeze blowing by. But be sure to tether me during car rides for my safety and yours … my biggest dream in life is to not only be a backseat driver, but a front seat one too! Gosh, I have so much potential to be one of the coolest dogs you’ve ever known. Please inquire about me today!
From Moonsong: Milo is a 3-year-old red woolly Malamute (XL), weighing in around 100 lbs. at current. He is fully vetted, neutered, and making progress in his obedience skills and being harnessed. He is not fond of being groomed nor excessively touched but does love to be close to you. He will need a strong owner who will be consistent in showing him manners. Milo will not go to a home with small animals, cats, or livestock.
