Hey everyone, my nickname is Tito, short for Ittituk. I’ve been told Ittituk is Inuit for ‘acting prudently’. Yes, that sums it up for me, since I tend to be hesitant about things going on around me. It can be a scary world if you don’t have confidence.
My past is a bit of a mystery; I was taken to a veterinary clinic and left there by someone who claimed I was a stray. More facts came out later; I was their puppy. I must have disappointed them since they dumped me. But moving on, I have been taken in by Moonsong, and the best is yet to come!
I will be one year old December 17th and I am growing like a weed! I am part Alaskan Malamute and part Pyrenees. I think when I am done growing, I will be a big boy!
Observations from my foster family: I am very shy and will not immediately approach you. Sudden movements scare me, so I need plenty of patience. After 5 days, I am really starting to bond with my caregivers. One in particular, since she is the one that feeds me. I love to come up to her and ask for pets and scratches. Rubbing my ears is a favorite pastime. But I still skitter away from her if I am uncertain of her movements or activities.
I am watching the other dog that lives here, he seems to be a very confident fellow! I’ve started to copy what he does, and it makes my people proud. They tell me I’m a good boy.
As my caregivers learn more about me, they will update my bio. In the meantime, stay tuned for more “Tito’s Tales”!
