Hi! Let me introduce myself, I’m Flash Flanagan and I’d love to meet you! No, really, I’d LOVE to meet you! You know what I love even more than playing with dogs at daycare? People! I love meeting new people and being around people. I love, love, love people!
I’m a 4-year-old male Mal, weighing in at 87 lbs. My mom, Katy Flanagan the former President of Moonsong Malamute, passed away the end of 2019 and fortunate for me some amazing volunteers and dog trainers have been fostering me. I have been learning my basic manners and obedience. I know how to sit, laydown, come when called (most of the time, I am after all a Mal) and I am a star student with my on-leash skills! I have attended several group classes and would love to keep learning new skills and tricks.
I am potty trained, but when I get too excited or stressed, I mark places that I shouldn’t. With proper introductions, I am great with other large dogs and love going to dog daycare. Although I could probably make friends with a small dog, I am a little too clumsy to safely play with them and the same is true for young children.
My mom was passionate about holistic care and she fed me a raw food diet. I would love to stay on a raw food diet and my foster parents would be happy to help you. You should know that I have a thyroid disorder that is controlled with very affordable medications.
I am an athletic boy! My mom taught me to bike jor and skijor. I love to hike and am comfortable wearing a dog backpack. If you are looking for a friend to have adventures with, I’m your guy!
