Well hi everyone! I know what your thinking! What is this handsome Siberian husky doing here with all the malamutes at Moonsong? Well, all I can say is it’s kind of like winning the lottery! My current foster home is kind enough to make sure I wind up in place that understands and appreciates how awesome hanging out with someone like me can be!
I’m Indy, a very active 4 year Siberian husky who weighs in at a little over 50 pounds and I am as sweet as they come! Not only do I love adult humans, I have lived with older children, absolutely love other dogs both big and small, and even lived with cats in my previous home (Moonsong is working on verifying)! I guess you could say I am a little bit of a social butterfly like most huskies!!
Unfortunately, my previous owners did not have much time for me, or providing the exercise I need and well, that is where my boredom got the best of me and I found myself escaping to pass the time. I am looking for an active family with a secure yard who can meet my exercise needs, loves to snuggle and will work with me on training so I can show you how smart I really am. I am very treat motivated, respond very well to clicker training and love to share a happy wooo with you when I get excited. Please keep in mind I can be a little stubborn like most of my kind, but will respond with adequate patience.
What else? Well, I love car rides, and although I walk fairly well when I am in a harness I could always benefit from a little more work in this area; after all, I was bred to pull!! I also need to learn what this crate thing is all about and could also use a little training to help me relax when other dogs are near my food, as I get a little nervous if they get too close. Oh and I hope you have toys like my favorite rope for a good game of tug!
