Drum roll please!!  My name is Sage and I can’t tell you how grateful I am to be here thanks to the wonderful folks at Moonsong and their supporters.  You see, I came down with a nasty case of Parvo while waiting for my prior owners to come break me out of a small Utah shelter.  I’m not sure why, but they never came. Thankfully, Moonsong heard about me and within hours rushed me to the emergency room for immediate treatment so that I did not have to be euthanized!!  Whew!!  Well I am putting that whole thing behind me and I am now on the market for a place I can call home!

As you see I am not a malamute, but a 1-2 year old sassy Siberian Husky mix who is full of energy and love.  Right now I only weigh 44 lbs, but my foster mom will be working to try and bring that up a bit as the vet suggested I should be closer to 60 lbs.

I really love belly rubs, walks and have even gotten the chance to go bike joring for the first time, which was amazing!  Everywhere I go people comment on how beautiful I am and well, I can’t help but to agree!!  Despite being really good at giving puppy facials, my foster mom is trying to work with me on that because she says not everyone appreciates those as much as she does.  I am also working on crate training and can I just tell you something, I am doing better every day!!  I get along great with my pack of four foster furry sisters who are about the same size as me and we love to play all day long!!  I can be a little rambunctious, but am easily redirected and am very treat motivated. I am quite the social butterfly and love to be the center of attention, but also enjoy just lounging around once I have a chance to get my energy out.  I recently had the opportunity to  meet a few kitties and from what my foster mom says I did really well because I did not react at all and in fact was more interested in checking other things out.  I may do well in a home with children who are slightly older, but probably not the really little ones (under 4) because I do have lots of energy. I am a youngster and although I know sit, shake (my favorite) and lay down I still need to work on basic house manners.

I really think I would do best in an active home with a very secure yard and maybe even someone with previous experience with Northern breeds.  I am very smart and will need engagement and exercise to help me excel. If you think you might be up for some husky love, please fill out an application so I can show you how sweet I can be!
