I’m a very affectionate 3-year-old Malamute (possibly Husky cross) who just wants to be with you. I have basic obedience training, am house and crate trained, and don’t chew on things that aren’t mine. I have, however, been known to counter-surf and wash any dishes left in the sink for entertainment when left alone, so perhaps a tidy home would be best.
I’m energetic but don’t mind chilling out if the occasion calls for it. Some of my favorite things to do are playing outside with you and chewing on sturdy toys. I also love going for walks and I’m pretty easy on the leash. If you have tasty treats, I’ll do just about anything you ask. I might even poke my sweet nose in your pocket just to let you know I’m available for treat- tasting. They say I’m food motivated but I say hey, give it up and I’ll entertain you. I like to play scent games and find tasty morsels. You can also use them to coax me into the car, which I am not a huge fan of, but if we go to lots of fun places, I will probably get better about rides.
Cuddles and snuggles will make me smile and I’ll never say no to a good belly rub. I love physical contact. Just saying…if you want to make room on the couch or your bed, I’m willing to join you. I get on fine with older children, too, so we can all cuddle together. I do Mala talk at you when I need to go out or want a snack. I can be quite picky about my canine friends, although I did finally warm up to my former housemate, Ash. He is also available from Moonsong and I could live with him or another friendly male dog again.
